And for this the Alpha Version gets more and more features like the following:

Completly reworked saving system

The savegames during development changed a lot and so it was time to refactor it completely - there was also some issues, because inside the game objects are highly inter-referenced for several AI reasons and this was out of the capabilities of the old system.

Added Ship Modules

Ships now features Hardpoints. There are 6 different Ship2Ship Weapons planned and 6 different Ship2Asteroid Weapons. Not all of them are complete, but the system itself is working and also incooperated into the ship building interface - woohoo!

Added More AI

As always the SHip AI was further improved - there were some deadlock situations - this is quite sophisticated at the moment and I do have a bit of concern about game performance .. Hopefully I can do a lot of improving later on but I am curious about performance on different systems. This game will be NOT for your netbook! If you try the demo, let me know about your experiences!

Building Destruction

It is finally possible to demolish buildings. Be aware that this is only possible for buildings which are not connected to more than 1 building - so only leaf structures can get demolished.

Building Attack

When having modules for the ships it should also be possible to attack buildings. Ships are now dropping properly bombs - YEAH! But at the very moment it is only optical and does no damage because I haven't finished it yet :-)

Destroying Buildings in the middle

IT would be highly odd if ships only attack leaf buildings, so this will work like so: Destroyed Transit Nodes will stay on the surface but will be damaged and can get repaired. If you destroy every building, the whole base (and the ruins) will blow up and you have freed the asteroid! Should be ready pretty soon!
